New York's newest vanity license plate celebrates the state's #1 industry, Agriculture. The money raised through the sale of the license plate will go toward one of Senator Hoffmann's favorite programs, Agriculture in the Classroom. Plates with an assigned number from the DMV cost $35.50 and renewals are $25. A personalized tag costs $63 and renewals are $50.


Lt. Governor Mary Donohue unviels the new I Love New York License Plate. Also on hand, NY Farm Bureau President John Lincoln and Assemblyman Jacob Gunther,III (D, Monticello) of the Legislative Commission on Rural Resources. The Commission and the Farm Bureau worked to make the Ag plate a reality. On Lt. Governor Donohue's left is DMV Commissioner Ray Martinez.

Dave "Dino" Yorton, Research Assistant, holds a mock up of the new I Love NY Agriculture license plate for Senator Hoffmann in the Senate Chamber during a break in the session. "Dino" is the son of a dairy farmer and grew up in Canastota. To put one on your car contact NY Department of Motor Vehicles for more information. A similar program in Florida raises over $200,000 a year.
