Events & Activities - Cayuga County Home Expo - March 5, 2004

 

 

The 2004 Cayuga County Home Expo filled up Cayuga Community College's Spartan Hall with nearly 90 exhibitors looking to showcase their businesses to area consumers seeking new home improvement designs and gardening tips.

Senator Hoffmann as well as Auburn Mayor, Tim Lattimore; New York State Assemblyman Gary Finch, R-Springport; CCC President, Dr. Dennis Golladay; Laura Coburn, Cayuga County Chamber of Commerce board member and, Cayuga County Legislator Sam DeRosa, R-Auburn, were all selected to judge vendor booths.

Senator Hoffmann and her fellow colleagues judged the "Best Booth" contest. The winner of the "Best Booth" contest was the "Health is Wealth" booth, manned by David and Aletha Hickey. They will receive a free booth spot at next year's Expo.


Senator Hoffmann spoke with Cayuga County President Dr. Dennis Golladay before the start of the competition.

Aletha Hickey, moderator of the "Health is Wealth" booth, talked with Senator Hoffmann. Aletha and David Hickey's booth, "Health is Wealth", was eventually selected by the esteemed group of judges, for the "Best Booth" award for the Expo.
