Events & Activities - Carnival for Casey's Place - November 1, 2003

The Syracuse University Men's Basketball Team, Coach Jim Boeheim, the SU Cheerleaders and Dance Team were the featured attractions at the CARNIVAL FOR CASEY'S PLACE.

Familycapped is building Casey's Place, a respite house on LaFayette Road in Syracuse, to help families who have children with special needs. Casey's Place is a house that will provide temporary care to multiply disabled kids - giving them a place to meet new friends & just be kids, while their families take a much needed break.

Senator Hoffmann helped a similar program get started in Madison County in the late '80s, Heritage Farm, which is unique in making some farm activities part of the therapeutic activity for the children and young adults with developmental disabilities. For more information go to the heritage web site.

For more information on Casey's Place go to familycapped and their phone number is (315) 449-4815.
