Senator Hoffmann had an action-packed day starting off with a hamburger cookoff in recognition of Beef Day at the New York State Fair. In the afternoon Senator Hoffmann attended a luncheon with First Pioneer Farm Credit. Throughout the day she stopped by booths and chatted with representatives from various organizations such as Familycapped and the Fire Prevention and Education Center. |

Recently she supported a law that prevents RN's from being replaced in operating rooms or intensive care units by special assistants. She also is supporting a law that requires hospitals to provide information on emergency contraception and, upon request in the case of a rape survivor, to provide emergency contraception to such survivors during emergency treatment. |
