Low milk prices, Regents requirements, terrorism, and the war in Iraq highlighted Senator Hoffmann's 90 minute session with seniors at Cato-Meridian High School.

Senator Hoffmann, responding to student questions, said her prayers and concerns are with American Service Members in Iraq and she supports President George Bush's decision to send troops to fight the war in Iraq.


Senator Hoffmann explained the Legislature has responded to terrorism in several ways. More State Troopers are now providing security along the Canadian border. She has sponsored new anti-terrorism legislation which makes tampering with food production a felony.


Senator Hoffmann with Cato-Meridian High School Principal, Michael Rizzi. She now has a school sweatshirt for a return visit.

"She is very interested in what we think. It's great that she is here to see what we are doing and what we need to get it done," said Principal Rizzi.
