Events & Activities - Native American Service Agency Luncheon - March 7, 2003

The Native American Service Agency (NASA) honored women as Wisdom Keepers with a luncheon at the University Sheraton on the SU campus. An Art Show and Sale of select Haudenosaunee Artisans was held as part of the event.

Senator Hoffmann starts off the luncheon by asking the Clan Mothers to stand and be acknowledged. She noted the United States has borrowed many attirbutes from the Iroquois Confederacy but one they didn't, and should have, is vesting more power in women.

NASA Executive Director Irving Lyons joins Senator Hoffmann on stage to explain the programs they offer which include help for those with developmental disabilities, adoption and foster care, elders lunch and exercise, holiday outreach, community outreach and cultural events.

Senator Hoffmann thanks USA DATANET for their support of the Native American Service Agency. The Syracuse Company's new President and Chief Executive Officer, David Montanaro, and Marketing Directer, Amy Sloane-Garris, are seated at the table in front of the stage.
