Senator Hoffmann heard from Diane Dwire of Syracuse that nurses are worried about health care under the proposed budget. Health care funding is slated for major cuts. The New York State Nurses Association says this will mean staffing cutbacks, programs eliminated, and rural health care will suffer the most. Senator Hoffmann said she believes in community-based healthcare and she's working to restore as much funding as possible. |
